Something big

This year I think I have made a huge effort towards work and being a role model in Y6 Room 19. But as I enter Intermediate I want to go not just one step further but 3 leaps further. I will kick things up a notch. My Maths, Reading, Writing and Sports will all change and I mean hopefully rocket sky high. I want to use this chance going into Intermediate as a full advantage and going to the best of my ability. Not just my work will change, when I do this so will my pride!  I will learn, adapt and adjust to my new surroundings and be the best that I can possibly be. At least 10X better than what I am now and I will try my hardest.

Camp MERC jigsaw

This is my completed 104 piece puzzle of camp MERC. It was kind of challenging because I did not know where the pieces would fit but then I got the hang of it.

Kiwi art

My reflection:
This is our Kiwi art first we took a giant piece of paper and painted brown on the back of it then drew and traced some feathers then we cut it out. Afterwards we paper mached the body of the Kiwi and then the head, but of course we stuck the two together. Then we started gluing the feathers on the kiwi, it was hard and long but we got there eventually. Next we took a skewer and spray painted a piece of paper gold, then we cut it out in the shape of a beak. Following that we glued the two together to make the beak the skewer was to hold the beak up and make it sturdy. Afterwards we cut out two gold circles and put peppercorns on it then glued it to the body. Now we have presented it into this photo.
I found it fun because we were trying to model a real  Kiwi and I do like modeling. My next step is to model some more NZ iconic creatures.  (Longest reflection I have ever done.) 😅😓

Ratios

I had to create a slide about what ratios are.
I might have got it wrong but I don't care.
I found it a bit easy because lately in maths we have been working on ratios and we didn't need a refresher. We did it at the time.

NZ inquiry kahoot.

This is my inquiry kahoot.
I was learning about New Zealand knowledge and we had to put it into a kahoot quiz.
I found this easy because I am very similar with kahoot and I know what to do.

Moa

This is my Moa presentation. I was learning about Moa facts and I had to make this slideshow based on the book we read called the Moa cave by Dez Hunt.
I found this a bt challenging because I do not know that much about Moa.

Short division

This is my short division practice.
I was learning how to use short division using multiplication facts.
I found this easy because I know my basic facts a multiplication times tables really good so I can solve these easily.
For example:          365837 dived by 4 =  91459.25

Speech

This is my speech draft.
I was learning how to give a balanced argument and recommend your opinion at the end and present it as a speech. Also each paragraph is used with a structure called P.E.E.L
Point, Explanation, Example/Evidence, Link.
I found this easy because I have done this before and I have been practicing peel for a while and I am pretty used to it so now I can write better. It improves like my speech.

YEAR 6 BOI!!!

Welcome welcome and merry year 6 mas! I am am in year 6 now and thankfully we can do whatever we want for the welcome post.😁  My teachers are Mrs Graham and Mrs Howard and also Mrs Hill from room 19. And they prefer it if we call them rock stars. So I am going to end this paragraph with bragging about year 6 BRAG BRAG BRAG BRAG BRAG BRAG BRAG...       I AM IN YEAR 6!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also I am a wet day monitor for room 13.  Get this - that was my year 4 class and also my Year 5 teacher Miss Fisher. Those little kids are going to love me or at least me and Jerry because he is with me.😒I have lots of old friends in my new class, Like Zach (I knew him since year one), Aditiyaa and Sean or as I like to call him Sean the sheep (Sean agrees and I have permission to do this signed:Sean).

Honestly I kind of find it annoying how in year 5, 4, 3, 2, and year 1 you bring your stationery. And most of it the teacher keeps and the rest she shares with the class.😠😠😠  I want to be responsible for my own stationery. That's why in year 6 we get to be responsible for most of our stationary sadly not all of it. I am angry for that like big brother Terrence:

Any ways thank you, thank you, goodnight.
