In order to work out the equation i had to, look at the question, follow the operation order and work out what the answer was but with the operation order. So for example (3 +5) x 2 =? I would follow the operation order and look that there is brackets first so would do the brackets first, 3+5=8 then i would do the carry n going down until I see that i am up onto the next order I need to do  x 2 which would be second in the operation order. so the first answer that I came up with I would keep that in my head and the second part  which would be x 2 i would bring the first answer 8 and then the second x 2 so 8 x 2 is 16. and that is how you work it out.
